International Fruit Day was announced 2007 as a social day to share and enjoy fruits and vegetables.
We eat fruits daily and will celebrate the annual International Fruit Day.
The attention of fruits and vegetables stands for diversity of all people around the world – for all cultures, nations, mentalities, religions and ways of life.
International Fruit Day is about something fundamental cultural and social: to share und eat fruits and vegetables together with people from your family, with friends or colleagues.
International Fruit Day shall become a worldwide festival day about fruits and vegetables for all kind of people. You can find fruits and people across planet earth: in Berlin, Brandenburg, Germany, Europe and worldwide e.g. New Zealand, Senegal, Mexico and Mongolia. Most fruits and vegetables are from their region of cultivation. No matter if apple or quince any child knows fruits.
International Fruit Day can only exist if people, groups and organisations join to form a unity and search for intersections of opinions and perspectives. In the meaning of social processes of innovations creative networks between social, cultural, scientific and economic disciplines and institutions are very welcome. For example regional groups of interest like fruit farmers and traders could cooperate with schools to present an overview of fruit trading from offering, cultivation, storage, logistics, sales and processing as well as to introduce the occupational fields and jobs.
